Nith River Chop House worth the trip

The older I get, the more I love the quaintness of tiny towns. They're easy to love in this region, with so many little hamlets and villages to explore.

These days, the big city nights out of my youth have been replaced with the likes of a jaunt into Wellesley, as it was on a recent dark and frigid February evening. The Nith River Chop House on Queen's Bush Road, Wellesley's main drag, was the destination.

It was for many, it turned out. The Chop House, which opened in 2010, is a Wellesley hotspot, especially at this time of year with snowmobilers. The closer we got to Wellesley, the more Ski-Doos we saw.
